The 146.940 W1ALE Repeater is one of the oldest continous 2 meter repeaters on the air today.  Ted Everet fired up the repeater in the 1960's and helped form the North East FM Repeater Association.  Over the years, Ted and friends maintained the .940 repeater until his passing in 2013, when K1PJS took over.  Capital Area Repeater Society was formed to help spread the responsibility of repeater management.  Today, W1ALE is a Yeasu DR1X and is FM mode only.
